How it all started

I have always loved making a house a home, finding beautiful pieces of furniture, second hand or new that adds to the comfortable, lived in look that I love. I love vintage home wares and I love second hand clothes shops. About 12 years ago I  completed a hands on interiors course, specialising in soft furnishings, mood boards and running an interiors business. I set up my business initially from my home in Waltham St Lawrence, making bespoke hand finished curtains, blinds and cushions.

Quickly I became busy enough to need another pair of hands to help with the projects, and from there business grew further. During that time I started to look for a small space where I could run my business from, and stock the kind of things I love. Also, to allow me access to larger fabric companies and space to display their fabric books. In November 2018 I opened my first showroom- HOME OF TWYFORD. In December 2022 the showroom moved to THE OLD POST OFFICE, HIGH STREET, WARGRAVE.

As the business has grown Sandy joined me in April of this year and so now together we aim to provide a personal service tailored to your needs and budget. Advice on window dressing styles, and fabric choices is available if required. If you need a little more inspiration, then a mood board can be created to help bring your room design to life. The initial consultation is free, and we provide a full fitting service should this be needed.  With a strong talented team behind us helping to complete the projects, making high quality, hand finished curtains, blinds, pelmets, cushions and lampshades.

Within the showroom is a wide range of fabric books from companies such as Romo, Fibre Naturelle, Sanderson and Harlequin, Ian Sanderson and Lewis and Wood, as well as smaller family run fabric companies including Meg Morton.

You are welcome to take your time browsing through these 4 days a week. We also have a great stock of candles, lighting, and home wares. Please feel free to come in and browse, We look forward to meeting you.

Penny and Sandy.
